Must be: new to blogging

Welcome back...Must be Enthusiasts.

I think I'm going to try to update at least once a week. Right now, I'm toying with ideas in my head. A few things have happened (not to me but to people I know) that have sparked some serious thought. Additionally, a few facebook posts I've read that drawn up some inspiration. Still not sure what to write about that is interesting. I'd write about books, if I read anything beyond the news lately (and I'm not about to get into politics). I'd write about music, but I don't understand today's music. Nothing exciting has happened this week and I've not tried any new recipes worth writing about.

At the moment, I'm still trying to get back into a routine after traveling and then I'm going to tackle some of the photos from my trip.

We got our second snow this evening. The first was a few weeks ago and nearly derailed a brunch I whipped up. No worries, it was a successful brunch + doggy play date. First world problems, am I right?

So... while I get my feet firmly on the ground and my balance restored around here, enjoy some photos of my dogs on instagram @mustbeinsert  or get notification updates on facebook @mustbeinsert

Cheers.

Must be: kind

Story time:
So, as a white woman that doesn't wear a head covering, I can travel just about anywhere with issue or with minimal issues.

Today on the ICE train, I sat down in the family/quiet car for my trip home. There was a set of 4 seats and a table in front of me with a white (maybe British) woman sitting in that area. In comes a woman carrying a child and wearing a head scarf, mind you she has paler skin than me. This scarf is beautiful and wrapped in a way that could be a religious covering or just a way to cover her hair to keep it in place (kind of my ladies did to work in the yard/home back in the day). This woman (sans scarf) told the woman wearing a scarf, "Sit somewhere else. I'm not comfortable you sitting near me." Woman (with scarf) said she had a reservation for that particular seat and sat down. Woman (sans scarf) got up and left. Good. So I peaked around the seat, looked at the woman, smiled and waved in a "I got you" kind of manner. Because of the language barrier, I wasn't sure what I could say to help her feel comfortable traveling alone. This made my heart heavy and sad to witness. I'm glad it wasn't more hostile as it could have been.

Friends, when traveling, please remember to be kind to one another. Traveling is stressful. Traveling alone with a little one can be even more stressful. Travelling alone with a little one and a society that hates you for your religion can be down right brutal.

We don't know each other stories... what someone has gone through or is going through. Be kind.

Must be: Me

Greetings and welcome to my first post as a blogger.

A little bit about me:
I'm not a professional anything. I enjoy photography, traveling, adventure, dogs, food. I like to travel with my stomach being my guide, but I also enjoy cooking/baking.

What I hope for this blog:
This blog is just a location to share thoughts, recipes, travel trips, adventures, photos...
Two characters you will see frequently.
So... lets get going shall we?!
